Graduate students of College of Arts Won Prizes on the 7th Contest on Computer-Aided Translation & Technical Communication

In the 7th Computer-Aided Translation and Technology Communication Competition held on June 3, 2018Feng Yuanyuan and her teammates won the first prize in group competition; Professor Hu Caixia Best Tutor prize, and China University of Petroleum(UPC) was awarded Excellent Organization prize.

After fierce competition,40studentsstood out from the preliminary contest among 1360 competitorsand went in forthe final. Luckilyour player'sexcellentperformancein fulfilling their tasksgained recognitionfrom audiences, fully demonstratingthe comprehensive quality and teamwork awareness of UPC.

The competition was jointly hosted by Peking University School of Software and Microelectronics, China National Standardization Association Technical Communication Committee and China Translation Association Localization Service Committee.

The matchmainlyfocuses on translation technology and technical communication,and ithas been successfully held for the seventh consecutive sectionsince 2012. Different from traditional contests, it tests not only competitor’s languageproficiencyand communication skills, but alsotheir capability of employingsoftware tools, programming and project management.
