One paper was selected as one of the 100 most influential international academic papers in China

Recently, the Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China recently released the 2022 Statistical Report on Scientific Papers in China, which revealed the 100 most influential international academic papers in China in 2021. The paper, titled byThe effects of trade openness on decoupling carbon emissions from economic growth-Evidence from 182 countries,completed by Professor Wang Qiang and Master student Zhang Fuyu from School of Economics and Management of UPC, was selected.

The paper was published by Journal of Cleaner Production. Aiming at the major scientific issue of the impact of trade protectionism on carbon emissions, the research reveals the long-term law of the impact of trade protectionism on carbon emissions by studying the long-term equilibrium relationship between free trade and carbon emissions when trade protectionism data are not available.
